Breakthrough with S106

Hednesford Town Council are absolutely delighted to share that after 12 months of chasing the S106 monies for the Land West of Pye Green that some progress has finally been made
With huge thanks to the determined work of our Officers we have been able to ensure that the bus shelter opposite Fieldhouse Road has finally been installed
In addition to this Officers have also been able to locate the monies for the secure cycle facility and are currently in talks with CCDC regarding the location and installation as well as locating the funds for the improvement to the bus stop adjacent to Tudor Road – work cannot commence on this bus stop until the developer has ‘broken ground’ with the directive for these works due to expire in April 2025.
A spokesperson for Hednesford Town Council stated that “Hednesford Town Council is committed to ensuring the outcomes of planning applications are followed and that the residents of Hednesford receive what has been promised. It has been a lengthy process to not only locate the monies owing but to also see the actions carried out. It was disappointing that S106 monies for Pye Green Valley have been diverted out of Hednesford and we are very much looking forward to working with CCDC to look at ways to prevent this from happening in the future”
