Funding Success

Hednesford Town Council are thrilled to announce that following the hard work of our Community Officer, Matt Johnson, that we have been successful in being awarded a grant of £10,808 from the National Lottery Community Fund which will allow us to continue to run our hugely popular and much need Hub @ Pye Green

The Hub was set up in September 2023 in response to a need for a safe, warm space for people to come together to meet and socialise. The Hub also provides a platform for visiting speakers, activities and community organisations such as the Police, NHS, local charities and support providers to provide advice, signposting and information. Since the first meeting in September 2023 numbers attending have continued to grow and evaluation and feedback from attendees clearly shows the positive impact it is having

The Chair of Hednesford Town Council, Cllr Alan Pearson said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this grant from The National Lottery Community Fund. Our Community Officer has worked hard to meet the needs of our community and has developed The Hub into a significant community resource and from the feedback from users, it is clear that it has had a very positive impact by bringing people together, combating social isolation and offering access to important resources. This grant funding will allow us to continue to cover costs and provide and plan an impactful programme of events for The Hub over the next 2 years”

The Hub@ Pye Green runs each Monday (except Bank Holidays) from 1-3pm at Pye Green Community Centre and is free to attend with light refreshments also being provided free of charge
