Council Moves Online

Further meetings of the Council will be suspended as in-person meetings until such time as social distancing measures allow for meetings together to resume. The Council will endeavour to continue its business using the technology solutions available and records of all issues will be made public in due course.

For information Councillors are in touch daily with a shared What’s App group and communicate regularly by phone and email now social distancing measures prevent face-to-face meetings and contact.

Additionally meetings will be taken using online technology on the platform known as Zoom these meetings will be advertised as usual on the Council website along with a link open for people to attend if they so wish. The usual council procedures will be followed.

Regulations are anticipated from the Government to allow online meetings and have indicated that Councils should use these regulations to allow business to continue. In the meantime the Council has committed to openness and transparency as the business of serving the community continues.

Councillors will focus on their community role in the weeks ahead supporting the various community support networks that are being established both formally or informally whilst observing government guidance to stay safe, stay home, protect the NHS.

The Council will keep this situation under review and make further announcements in due course
