Getting Around Hednesford

Hednesford has  a variety of free on and off street car parks including the Anglesey car park on the corner of Market Street, as well as the car park for the Victoria Shopping Park  opposite the entrance to Hednesford Park

Hednesford also has a variety of bus links. These provide quick, cheap and useful transport to and from the town. Destinations including Cannock, Rugeley, Lichfield and Walsall are in easy reach. Cycling has become an immense leisure pursuit for our community with a nationally recognised mountain biking area on Cannock Chase.  The Heritage Trail reaches across the town and beyond in one direction to Cannock and to the Retail Outlet Village and the other through Cannock Chase to Rugeley all accessible for gentle cycling along the Heritage Trail.

Hednesford train station continues to thrive, with half hourly trains to and from Birmingham New Street and Rugeley Trent Valley and we now have a direct service to Birmingham International Airport and London Euston. The station also has a free car park on Anglesey Street. More information and a train timetable can be found here.

Hednesford Hopper

Each Saturday between 9am and 5pm residents of Hednesford can use the free Hednesford Hopper bus service on selected routes and when getting on and off within the Hednesford Town Council area – simply scan the QR code
