We always need help with a number of projects that contribute to our local life and the Hednesford community. Volunteering is an excellent way to make new friends, improve your employment prospects, keep up to date with what is going on in the Town and make a real difference in your community.

Volunteering opportunities

Hednesford Events
A number of events are held in Hednesford every year including the ever successful Christmas event which is held on the first Friday in December and the Summer Festival on the 2nd Saturday in August. Volunteers are needed to help plan and organise the events and offer practical support on the day including marshalling etc.

Hednesford Best Kept Town Competition
Hednesford is participating in this annual competition and volunteers who are interested in this are invited to come forward.

Friends of Hednesford: Community Volunteers
A group keen to promote the town and carry out community projects such as regular litter picks, planting, decorating the town for events and maintaining the Miners Memorial

Friends of Hednesford Park
New volunteers are welcomed that can spare time to help provide activities, support events and improve the park. All skills and abilities welcome, every person has some skill they can contribute to our beautiful Hednesford Park.

Help to improve highway safety and combat unlawful speeding by joining the Community Speedwatch team who can be contact through the Town Council
